Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies Äng uses, what they do, and the choices you have. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Service to function — signing in, keeping your session secure, and preventing abuse. They do not require consent.

  • Authentication (Supabase, “sb-...”): HTTP-only session cookies that keep you signed in. Cleared when you sign out; refreshed while you use the Service.
  • ang_analytics_consent:stores your analytics choice from the consent banner so we don't ask again. Lifetime: 180 days.
  • Bot protection (Vercel): short-lived cookies may be set during sign-up to distinguish humans from bots.

2. Optional analytics (only with your consent)

Product analytics run only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the consent banner. If you decline, none of the following loads.

  • PostHog (“ph_...”): feature-usage analytics, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). Identifies you by account UUID only — never email or name. Lifetime: up to 1 year.
  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights: cookie-free, privacy-friendly usage and performance measurement. Loaded only after consent.

3. Browser storage (not cookies)

The app stores working data in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB — for example cached images, board state, and interface preferences. This data stays on your device, is not used for tracking, and you can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

4. Managing your choices

  • Consent banner: your choice is stored for 180 days, after which we ask again.
  • Changing your mind: delete the ang_analytics_consent cookie in your browser and reload — the banner will reappear.
  • Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.
